Mario and Renata Gomes experienced a significant change of perspective in their lives.

Both born in Christian homes, they gave themselves to Jesus during their childhood, but only after they were married and blessed with their two sons (Rodrigo and Victor), did they begin to perceive a specific call from God. Thus, they set out on a fascinating journey with the Father.

They were developing their careers as doctors in Rio de Janeiro, but, understanding it to be a direction from the Lord, they moved to Southern California in 2004. There they were part of Saddleback Church and experienced a unique period of growth and clarification of God's vision.

Some time later they moved to the city of Tulsa, Oklahoma, where Mario was ordained to pastoral ministry at Evergreen Baptist Church. During this time, they founded the MDN (Missions and Discipleship Network), a ministerial organization focused on equipping churches, with a focus on missions and discipleship.

Back in Brazil, in August 2009, they settled in the western region of Paraná (a state in the country's southern region). They are currently part of the New Baptist Church of Cascavel where they serve as associate pastors. They feel privileged to belong to this church family and experience what the Lord has done in this time and in this place.

They also work as doctors, with an emphasis on lifestyle medicine and the promotion of integral health. In 2018, they conceived the BASES Project and since then have dedicated themselves to serving in the development and expansion of this ministry.

Therefore, since God's call more than 20 years ago, they continue to follow this incredible journey, experiencing its difficulties, challenges, joys and achievements. Living by the grace of the Father and motivated by the vision that the Church of Christ, more and more, may exercise its full potential in impacting lives for the Kingdom.
