Statement of Faith

The Bible is the inspired Word of God. We believe that the Bible is the Word of God, written by men who were supernaturally inspired by the Holy Spirit, therefore without any shadow of error. The Bible is the complete revelation of God's will for salvation. It is the supreme source of truth and the only infallible rule of faith and practice for the Christian life.

2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:20, 21; 2 Timothy 1:13; Psalm 119:105, 160, 12:6; Proverbs 30:5.

God is the creator of all things and ruler over the entire universe. We believe in one God, creator of all things, who eternally exists in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. All three are equal to each other and one God.

Genesis 1:1,26,27; 3:22; Psalm 90:2; Matthew 28:19; 1 Peter 1:2; 2 Corinthians 13:14.

Man was separated from God after the fall. We believe that God created man and that, soon after he disobeyed in the Garden of Eden, the entire human race was condemned to spiritual death, which is eternal separation from God. Human nature then became characterized by an attitude of disobedience to God, that is, by sin. Therefore, all men are sinners by nature and practice.

Genesis 1:27; Psalm 8:3-6; Isaiah 53:6a; Romans 3:23; Isaiah 59:1,2.

Jesus Christ is the Son of God and the only way to salvation. We believe in the supernatural conception of Jesus Christ by the Holy Spirit, his virgin birth and his sinless life. He offered himself as a sacrifice for the sins of all mankind through his death on the cross. This sacrifice was perfect and sufficient. Jesus rose from the dead after three days, thereby demonstrating his power over sin and death. He ascended to heaven in glory and will return to Earth to reign as King of kings and Lord of lords.

Matthew 1:22,23; Isaiah 9:6; John 1:1-5, 14:10-30; Hebrews 4:14,15; 1 Corinthians 15:3,4; Romans 1:3,4; Acts 1:9-11; 1 Timothy 6:14,15; Titus 2:13.1

Salvation is a gift from God to man. We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died on the cross for our sins and that salvation comes exclusively through faith in Christ alone. Man is unable to receive salvation through "personal evolution", good behavior or even good works. Only through the recognition that Jesus Christ is God's offer for the forgiveness of sins can man be free from eternal condemnation. Everyone who, by faith, receives Jesus, leaves the condition of separation from God and passes to the condition of being justified before Him.

Romans 6:23; Ephesians 2:8,9; John 14:6, 1:12; Titus 3:5; Galatians 3:26; Romans 5:1.

The Holy Spirit dwells in Christians. We believe that the Holy Spirit is God and is equal with the Father and the Son. The Holy Spirit works in the world leading men to the perception of the need to receive Jesus Christ as Savior. Furthermore, he dwells in every Christian from the moment of salvation, granting gifts, power and enablement for a fruitful life and a relevant ministry in the world. The Holy Spirit also grants understanding of spiritual truths and direction for a life of holiness.

2 Corinthians 3:17; John 16:7-13, 14.
